There are 2 main causes of incorrectly orientated content.
- The TV was mounted upside down
- IF mounted Portrait the TV was rotated 90 Degrees Counter-clockwise
- Reality requests TVs to be mounted 90 Degrees Clockwise in order for our portrait content to be displayed correctly
- The content is in an incorrect orientation in the DSP Portal
Corrective measures
- If the Installer is still onsite the preferred method is to have them rotate the TV 90 Degrees Clockwise
- This method will help prevent any issues when we
- Place the Media Player orientation in (Flipped) - This only works if the player is online
- Sign into the DSP Portal
- Locate the Media Player
- Go to the Player Details
- Click on the Orientation
- Select the correct Orientation
- Click Save
- Click Save on the Player
Last Corrective option - has known to cause issues
Use photo editing software to rotate the image/video 180 Degrees.
This has been known to cause issues when there is a content update being performed, if the person performing the update is unaware of the special situation, image/video being rotated in photo editing software prior to deploying, when the update is processed on the player the update will appear upside down.
